I get them too. They are actually cold sores just on your feet. The solution is difficult to achieve as if you keep putting your shoes on you increase the risk of reinfection. And you can also spread them to others (if your kids put your shoes on etc)

The solution.... Throw away all your old socks, throw away all your old shoes. If you get blisters don't pop them, although this solves the itching... it spreads the vial fluid to other areas. cover your feet in abreva, this also prevents any spreading. Buy new shoes and socks...get cheap ones as they will be thrown out soon. when you wear socks put on one pair, then use a bread bag to cover them, put another pair of socks on over the bread bag and you can trim off the excess bag. (I used short socks for the under layer and full length for the over layer. Throw out the under layer socks after each wear. do this daily for 2 full weeks until your feet are blister free.
(you can also soak your feet daily in something that will dry them out like corn starch, or vinegar).

Once you have no more blisters, throw out all your socks and all your shoes again. buy good quality ones that allow your feet to breathe (not from payless or walmart. go to a sports store). You may want to keep up with the abreva treatment (multiple layer socks not really needed at this point) but it will keep any new blisters that may attempt to form from not only spreading but also from embedding itself in your shoes and socks. (once a week or every couple days works enough (abreva can get expensive for daily use). Also throw out your socks and buy new ones every couple months.

i have the same problem. It started with one blister and spread rapidly on the same foot in less then a week. the skin is now dry and that foot seems to possibly be healing, but i now have 1 blister on the other foot, so i will cover it with a band aid for now and hopefully will not spread.

did you find any cures?

Hi,

There is always a possibility of the blisters getting infected - you could apply neosporin ointment at the sites.

But it would be best to consult your doctor for a clinical examination and to find out the cause of your symptoms.

Glad the post was of some help to you.

Do keep us updated on how you are doing and if you have any other doubts.

Regards.

I am a CNA, which means I'm on my feet for at least eight hours a day. The blisters are very big and uncomfortable, I bought Dr Scholls blister treatment but it doesn't seem to be helping, thank you for your advice I am going to give it a try. Could these blisters get infected, someone suggested I use antibacterial cream but I can't find it anywhere.

Hi,

You could be allergic to some unknown substance or this could be sweat rash or some infection.

Do you have any other associated symptoms?

What work do you do? Are your feet exposed to any chemicals or soaps or detergents etc?

You could wash the area several times daily and apply calamine lotion at the sites. Take oral antihistamine medications like loratadine or cetrizine for your symptoms.

Try to find out the cause of your symptoms or any factors that aggravate the rash. Consult a skin specialist for a clinical examination.

Let us know about how you are doing and what your doctor advises.

Regards.
