blisters-purple skin

by Wendy0704, Feb 19, 2008 02:29PM
This discussion is related to Blister on tip of finger and under finger nail.

My fingers are turning purple and I am getting red blister like marks on the fingertips and sides of my fingers.  Some say it is aczema, but why the purple fingers?

Hi,

Have you injured your fingers before? Any instance that you pressed on your arm or wrist? Any exposure to cold?

One thing to consider is a herpetic whitlow, fungal infections of the nails , a vascular insufficiency.

I suggest you have this assessed by your primary physician. The purplish discoloration of the digits may need further evaluation to exclude any vascular involvement.
