blood like blister on outer thigh

blood like blister on outer thigh

I have a blood blister on my outer thigh, it has come up in the past in the same spot but than goes away. It appears to form in the same shape and size, only this time it looked like more blood was in the circle shape area than normally appeared.  The mark is about the size of a pencil eraser almost perfectly round and filled with blood. I accidently cut it when shaving and it blead out makeing it flat and red(like dryed blood). It's no itchy or painful, (until now that I cut it)  I've searched the internet and haven't seen or heard of anything that looks like what I have, I do have a doctor's appt but was hoping for a clue as to what this could be.

Hello,
It can be a blood blister or pyogenic granuloma. Blood blister is a type of blister that forms when subdermal tissues and blood vessels are damaged without piercing the skin. Apply cold compresses, soak the blister in Epsom salt and keep the hand bandaged so as to avoid its rupture. If the blister breaks, quickly rinse the area and apply an antiseptic such as neosporin. It is not recommended to break a blister because it may often lead to infection.
My sincere advice is to consult a dermatologist and get it evaluated.
I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
