If you have that many, you should go to the doctor.   It may be some type of infection.  It would be better to get it checked out then to let it spread or get worse.  If you are popping them, it could be spreading infection under your skin.  I really think you need to call the doctor and get it checked.

Unfortunately, it feels like it takes forever for a boil to go away!  The only thing that I have found made them feel better is the use of hot compresses several times a day and warm Epsom salt baths.  I usually also dab Neosporin or a general antibiotic ointment on the boil also.

I have used a treatment called "Boil Ease" that I bought at Rite Aid.  It really didn't seem to help.  I have tried Calamine lotion and it may have helped slightly.  There are many home remedies out there on the internet.  But, I have never really found anything that worked well to get rid of it.  It is just an annoying pain until it finally resolves.  For me, they usually look like they are going away after a week or so, but it has taken over two weeks for me on occasion.  Good luck and please post if you do find a remedy that works!  :)

It is so hard to tell what someone is decribing in a post.  But, by your calling it a boil, I suspected it was the same type of thing I have gotten several times and wasn't associated with an STD.  I hope I did not offend you by indicating a STD as a possibility.  I would just hate to have someone dismiss something that was curable with medication.

One doctor told me that staph infection on the skin can be to blame.  Usually, a hair follicle gets a bit infected from staph on the skin resulting in a boil.  Some people are more prone to boils than others.  I recently read that higher than normal blood sugar and insulin resistance is also linked with boils.  So, from that standpoint, I would think PCOS may cause more boils.

If it doesn't clear on its own in a week or so, talk to your doctor.  Boils can spread infection...red streaks coming from the boil is a warning of this.  You can also try rubbing neosporin on it to help prevent further infection.  I hope it clears soon!

You really should be sure to have a doctor check it out to be sure it is not a STD.  But, I have gotten bumps on my vagina that you might desribe as a boil, and they resolve within a week or so.  Where is the bump?  Is it on the vaginal opening or on the skin outside of the vagina?  Is it a single bump or do you have others?

If it is a single bump and somewhat like a pimple, then they do usually go away on their own in about a week or so.  Hair follicles commonly cause these types of bumps. If it is inside your vagina, there is more concern that it is an STD.  But, the safest bet is to have a doctor look at it asap.  There is no way to dx it over the internet and you wouldn't want to let it go if it is an STD.
