brown discoloration on penis

by Macts, Mar 16, 2007 12:00AM
I have recently (4-5 months ago) developed a brown discoloration on the shaft of my penis that is approx. 1-2 cm in length. It is located directly adjacent to a beauty mark that I have had there since birth. It doesn't seem to have grown at all since I've noticed it. The brown spot is lighter than the beauty mark and twice the size of it. Any possible causes, and should I get it looked at by a doctor?

It sounds like a freckle of some sort.  Not sure without looking, though it doesn't sound significant.  I'd show it to a doctor next time you go.  Since it might be the result of irritation, I'd leave it alone, and it may actually fade on its own before you see the doctor.

Take care.
