my situation is kind of the same as yours except your a female and i'm a male.
i have no idea if i have a cold sore or not on the right corner of my mouth. it wasn't on the lip though.... but it act like a cold sore cause it blistered and crusted over. is there itch or burning sensation? i had masterbated on the day and possibly torn up some skin on my penis from jerking. i touched my blisters and then my penis without washing my hand. its been 2 weeks and 4 days already and no signs of herpes/cold sore on my penis. it looks healthy and clean.

Hi

I understand your concern. This bump you noted on your husband may not be viral or herpetic in nature. It may be folliculitis or a fungal infection. It may be dermatitic in nature or just a mild skin irritation. Just continue to observe the bump. This should revert spontaneously. Herpetic infections appear as clusters of vesicles on a red base , they may also burn and tingle. Your husband has not noted any of these.
