This may be a case of folliculitis. If this involves the hair follicles, folliculitis is a likely differential. Folliculitis is caused by a bacterial infection and it may be transmitted through direct skin to skin contact. In this case, you need to have this assessed by your doctor so you may be prescribed topical medications. Antimicrobial soaps and topical antibiotics may be of help.
