bumps caused by hair on underside of penis

I noticed a few years ago that each pubic hair on my scrotum had a small bump where it came out of the skin. Now that I'm 23 I've been getting small bumps on the underside of my penis where there are tiny hairs growing. I've tried using hair removers and a hair retardent, but the bumps have persisted for several months now. I've still not had sex, so at least I didn't freak out when I first noticed them. Is there anything I can do to get rid of the bumps? And is this a problem many guys have? My doctor didn't seem to know anything about this. Thank you for any advice.

You can't get rid of the bumps, because they belong there.  The scrotum often has many small cysts, some at the base of hair follicles.

If your doctor didn't know what these were, I suggest that you see a dermatologist, who can enlighten you and give you the information you need to ignore this.

probob, I remember back when I was growing up I had become concerned with having the exact same condition. As Dr. Rockoff described these bumps are simply hair follicles and are completely normal to have on the scrotum and lower portion on the shaft of the penis. NO hair removal treatments will remove or reduce their size as yes, they are meant to be there! All males have them but, on some they are just larger and more noticeable. Don't be concerned as you are 100% normal!

I know it makes someone feel better to know that others have gone through the same experience.  I too am 23 and just recently noticed the same bumps you described.  After having them looked at by multiple doctors I have come to understand that they're natural and not to worry about them.  I know guys dont sit around and talk about the bumps they have on their genitals, but after reading on websites such as this one it turns out its  pretty common.  Don't sweat it!

I have these bumps on my penis too I am only 14 and i am scared to death that there is something wrong with me.  These bumps are on the skin of the penis and they have hair coming from them.  Some are smaller than others but will they go away?  I dont really want them to be there but if they are going to be i want them to be normal i just hope and pray there is nothing wrong with me. THis is really scaring me so please resond. and the bumps are really only noticeable when i get hard so just please resond.

Yo, i am 16 now, when i was about 12 i noticed bumbs from my scrodum to the beginign of my shaft.I had never had oral sex or sex.I ahve heard its possible, but rare, to be born with genital warts. They are attached to pubic hair and spread alittle bit along my penis. I am too embarrased to tell my parents, so i will not get them checked out till i get my lisence. These posts make me feel alittle bit better,but i keep thinking about , how everywhere i read it says genital warts come in many different forms. It is great if you tell me i dun have HPV( disease that causes genital warts), but how do you know for sure. I am 18 and have these same white bumps on my scrotum and underside of my penis and have had them for probably 6years. The bums are white and some feel like they are under the skin and seem like they are clogged pores. I probably have around a 100 or so of these bumps and some of them will shoot out white hard stuff when squeezed ,but are really only noticable when I am hard. I am also very conserned with them and would like to get ride of them. I have not ever had sex so I know they are not a STD but I still feel like they should not be there as that in pornos I have not seen these on other guys so how could it possible be normal. I am becoming very depressed because of these bumps and there should be some sort of cure that will last. So my question is where can I find more information on it.

hi im really scared right now cus i dont know if theres somthin wrong with me, ever since i was about 11 ive had these bumps on my scrotum and on the shaft of my penis. some are kinda white and when i squeezed one white stuff came out. i'm to scared to tell my parents so i'm just waitin till i get my license so i can drive to a walk in clinic. and hair does grow out of most of them but not all. when i first sawthem i thought it was genital herpes but i did some research and its none of the std's so i dont know wat it is. i'm at the stage of my life right now where i love to party and hangout but its hard like in gym in high school its hard to see other guys walk around in the dressing room without shorts on wen i'm to scared to cus they might make fun of me. but my really main question is im also at the age where gurls wanna have oral sex and i want to too but i dont want them to see my penis or scroyum cus theyd probly think i have genital herpes or somthin and tell everyone and everyone would hate me. i want to know if it is normal and how to tell a gurl about it and can they be spread and is there any guys hoo have had sex or oral sex that have these bumps .  please write back and help me thanks
