Another differential could be molluscum contagiosum, a viral infection of the skin or occasionally of the mucous membranes that is a flesh-colored, dome-shaped, and pearly in appearance and usually affect the genitals, lower abdomen, buttocks, and inner thighs, and in rare cases, also found on the lips, mouth, and eyelids. Being caused by a virus, this also resolves on its own but may last up to 3 months.
