bumps on labia majora

by maria580, Sep 26, 2009 11:15AM
Hi I am a 49 y/o woman.  Approximately 4 years ago I went to my Dr. and she asked me if I had been in contact with someone who had vaginal warts.  She didn't test me but gave me cream which did nothing but excoriate my vaginal area but did not take away the bumps which are the same on both side of the labia majora.  I went for a second opinion and the next Dr. gave me the same dx.  She prescribed cream with no change in six weeks so she took a biopsy and it came back negative.  These bumps or rough skin doesn't ever decrease in size or amount and the area is red but not tender or painful.  I have had several std test which all come back negative. I have been put on a round of ABT incase it is bacteria.  I have since went to a third MD which said that I look normal.  I want to believe the third MD but it doesn't look normal. I work as a nurse in a nursing home and straight cath women all the time and never see bumpy vaginas.  Do you have any suggestions.
