bumps under armpit

by LBG6, Aug 15, 2008 07:14AM
It's definatly not a huge problem unless they're really bothering you. I started to get large bumps behind my ears when I turned 18...and they'd go away and come back a few months later they were actually really gross but the doctor said he could remove it if i wanted..i got one removed and they just came back everywhere else behind my ears. About last year I started getting them under my arms as well..they're a little more painful under my arms as the skins tight so when im in the shower washing my hair or whatever i do to lift my arms it feels like the skin is being pulled. It'd not a serious thing...the doctor told me a lot of adults get it. So whether or not you want to get it removed is up to you..if another follows after you get it removed though it's normal.

I have had a bump in my armpit for over a year, it is very hard and now I am starting to feel another one coming under the same armpit.  I had one several years ago which became infected and had to be lanced.  I also have discovered a lump in my left breast, have a dr appt this week, i wonder are they connected

Hi,

It is good that you'll be checking in with your doctor. Sometimes, if there is a bump in the breast, there is also an inflammed lymph node present. However, with your history of previous cyst in the axilla, a recuring one could also be a possibility. At this point, a  clinical breast examination and possible mammography, could be helpful in the diagnosis. Take care and keep us posted.
