removed that was abnormal and they needed to remove more from that area. my question is whether or not the skin underneath can be cancerous or not? or will it be abnormal as well as the top skin? i am very nervous about this! thank you

I agree with your dermatologist that since the removed cells have come out abnormal, so punch biopsy excision needs to be done to rule out any atypical
cells in the dermis as well. Please go ahead with the biopsy as more samples need to be taken.
