My daughter is 13months and has strange bruises on her left leg since she was 5months.  Pediatric dermatologists have no clue what is going on with her leg one day its there another day its gone.  It moves slightly spreads then shrinks.  It doesn't appear to hurt her. The said maybe pigmented purpura.

I wonder how much is effected in our multiple 5 hr car trips even though we stop every 1-2hrs.  Or not enough iron zinc or C or my high estrogen since I nurse my twins and I was told I have excessive estrogen.

Her tiny skinny legs all of a sudden became very thick like telephone pole legs around the same time mark appeared and her twin did not.  She seemed to swell up espec around ankles and lower legs which are always cold no matter how we try to keep her warm.

A biopsy confirmed Schambergs on my lower leg.....there is no pain or itching but it is very unsightly. Does this affect the larger vessels internally as well? And are there any clinical trials?  LAM

Schamberg's disease is a type of purpura, a purplish discoloration of the skin caused by blood leaking from small vessels near the skin surface. It generally causes no symptoms and needs no treatment. The eruption may persist for years but the pattern of eruption may change. Some people may have mild itching and require treatment with corticosteroid creams or antibiotics. There is no permanent cure for the disease. Some laser treatments are being considered but they are still in the trial phase and none of them can be considered as a definite part of the treatment of the disease. Vitamin C may also help in some cases.
