candida/balantitis/something else?

This has been going on for the last 2-3 months, on and off.

My penis (mainly the area behind the ring of the head) has itch that comes and goes. (sometimes when it itches, and I pressed on it with my thumb, it's a little sore.)

I'm uncircumsized

The foreskin has become tigher, it's hard to roll it back during sex (need to use some lubricant for the skin to stretch and roll back)

The ring of the head is red, while the head itself is kind of pale. On the ring there is a couple of very small (1 milimeter) red dots.

The penis has a slightly unpleasant smell, I don't think this is my natural smell.

I Always take a shower every morning, and always wash my penis.

I have gone to a urologist, he looked, he thought it was candida (yeast infection) he prescribed Diflucan for me and my g/f. And he prescribed me to use Clotrimazole and Betamethasone Dipropionate Cream. He also took fungus Culture and I did a blood and urine test.

When I went back he told me that results said that I don't have anything, and I'm perfectly healthy and I can go home, and discontinue use of the cream.

The pictures look like irritation, not yeast or fungus.  I advise staying away from strong steroids (like betamethasone) and not using any active medications at all, only lubricants like moisturizing creams or vaseline.  I think you can believe the tests.

I suggest not paying attention to the redness, the red dots, and so forth.  If the symptoms persist, see a skin doctor about therapy for the irritation.  But I don't think you need to worry about yeast or any other infectious process.

i had this same problem. i actually got it so bad i started to lose sensation. it started happening very quickly and progressed very quickly. ultimately i had to get cercumsized. now the problem is 100% gone. its scary to think about getting circumsized but if you really want to get rid of the problem its a must that you take this step.
