care of sore

I have a sore on my ankle, it had gotten irritated by my sock, it became quite bad, but now is on the mend.
I have been cleansing it daily with sterile water, then applying an antibacterial cream (Neosporin)
then bandaged it anew.
Now, it has gotten much better, but I need to know when do I stop applying the cream, and let a scab form.
Please advise..Thanks in advance

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Since the sore is getting better, I suggest you to leave it open after applying antiseptics and topical antibiotic creams like Neosporin which you are already applying. please get your blood suagr levels checked if the sore persists.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
