Sir,i'm kevin and about one month ago i posted here!I was very much pleased with the answer but i wanted to ask u another question. Actually about 8 months ago i put pure sodium bicarbonate powder mixed with water on my acne spots
).may be the pH of the powder was too high.i got the sodium bicarb from my mother who works as an admin officer in the hospital.
anyways i noticed remarkable positive change in my skin tone!my pigment is coming back!slowly but surely!thing is that i don't really know whats making this change!as i sometimes use hydro cortisone!sometimes i go to the sun
!sometimes i only hydrate....so among those solutions i would like to ask which one is the best which can really bring back my pigment completely and for sure!should i continue to hydrate in morning and no sun
hypopigmentation due to using the sodium bicarbonate. It is very difficult to treat but sometimes it goes away on its own after exposure to the sun. Creams like Elidel cream or Protropic can be used on these hypopigmented areas but at such a young age it is not advisable to use them . If the symptoms still persist then you can talk to your dermatologist about laser-assisted chemabrasion(LACA).
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
