chronic rash in groin area??

I have been battling what I am told is possibly a fungeral infection?  It is spread all through out my groin area and normally starts as one small red peeling circle and then spreads from my penis to my testicals to my inner thigh and to my butt?  in my thighs it will split and bleed and have a wierd smell.  After sex it normally will turn red and burn for about a day and then start to peel.  I have been to two different docters and now am on my fifth attempt to rid myself of the rash using oral ketoconazole, and lotion consisting of clotrimazole and betamethasone dipropionate.  While it does temporarily stop the rash it always comes back within a couple weeks to months??  And recently I have discovered tinny little red bumps in my higher pubic area???  I've been with the same girl for a while now and nothing seems to show on her ever and I haven't cheated either??  What is going on with me??

Hello,

I cannot confirm anything without examnation but it can be intertrigo, heat rash or contact dermatitis. An intertrigo is an inflammation (rash) of the body folds. It most commonly occurs due to bacterial, viral or fungal infection. An intertrigo usually appears red and raw-looking, and may also itch, ooze, and be sore.

Pls keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove.Avoid any kind of cosmetics.Topical zinc oxide cream like Sudocrem, Desitin are very helpful(apply with a paper towel and not directly with hands).Application of mild steroid cream like dermacort also helps. For the itching pls take some over the counter antihistaminic like benadryl or Claritin. In case the symptoms persist then antifungals may be needed.Pls consult a dermatologist in that case.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted in case you have any additional doubts.Kind regards.

im not a doc but i have had had a similar problem...my testicles were very red , not bleeding, but bright red...the general doc told me that it could be a fungal infection...but i went to a dermatologist and he told me the it is impossible to get fungus on the scrotum..this may not help that much but i hope it gives you a better idea...it sounds to me like it could be dermatitis but again im not a doc
