by itsmeviv, Jun 03, 2008 02:34PM
Why do i have tiny bubbles in my left palm sicne the past 2 months. They dont itch or bother me but it just looks and feels terrible. I have no earlier history of any skin problem. On my right hand there are a couple of bubbles which are clear bubbles and have been there for over a month. what must i do?

Hi,

Could you describe the lesions a little more? Do they itch? Is there any discharge? What is the size of the lesions? Do they increase or decrease in size? Are they fixed or are new lesions still appearing?

What is your age? What work do you do? are you exposed to any chemicals etc? Have you used any new cosmetic products lately or any new soaps or detergents?

This could be due to some allergic reaction or bacterial infection/ fungal infection or dermatitis or eczema, etc.

Nothing can be said with surety without having a look at the lesions.

It would be best to consult a doctor about the symptoms if they do not resolve and get a proper clinical examination.

Keep the area clean and maintain good personal hygiene and wear lose comfortable clothes.

Apply calamine lotion at the sites ,and take oral antihistamine medications like loratadine or cetrizine for the itching.

Let us know about what your doctor advises and how you are doing.

Regards.

Hi Doc
Thanks for your feedback. The lesions are not easily visible. They are very tiny and only when i run my finguers over my left palm can i actually feel the uneveness that has been caused due to the bumps. They look like tiny water filled bubbles and are concentrated in the middle and top part of my palm. They do not itch nor do they give out any discharge. They do not change in size or in number. They are pretty fixed and not had any new leisons occuring. Although i have noticed that there are 2 water bubble like leisons that are as big as musturd seeds on my right little finguer. These have come up only in the last 15 days.

I am 38yrs and am a home maker. Do do have my hands in water but not really exposed to any chemicals. No new cosmetic products have been used except that i have been using Eucerine cream for my new born since she had a skin problem. Neither have i used any new soap or detergent

thanks
vivienne
