and asked if he had been in the woods (he has, hunting season just started). The doctor told him to take benadryl and prescribed mometasone furoate cream. He has been using the cream for 3 days now, with no improvement. In fact, it seems to be getting alot worse.
There are several bumps in his beard area, several more around his ear
, one below his ear and one behind his ear have turned a dark brown (he has not scratched them, there is no scab, this is all below the surface), he also has a cluster of about 10-15 of them on his neck in a circular area and it seems to be spreading sporadically in other areas around his shoulder, etc. (just a couple of bumps here or there)
I have searched on the internet for hours, the closest I found to what he has is this picture:

The discoloration he is getting made me think spider bite, but none of the pictures I've seen (and I've looked at tons) seem comparable to what he has. Any help would be greatly appreciated. He is hesitant to go to the doctors again since he feels they just brushed it off, but I am trying to get him to see my dermatologist.
just an update, he ended up going to the emergency room because it began to spread on his chest and he started getting shooting pains, the above link was right, he has shingles.
