clusters of bumps/dots between eyebrows

clusters of bumps/dots between eyebrows

Hello,

Recently, I have started to have a cluster of small dots that are the same color as my skin between my eyebrows. At first, they were not very visible until I stretched the skin but the cluster seems so large now. Two of them has actually turned into a red pimple (not sure if its really related, but I RARELY have acne and these have grown in the cluster spot in a shot interval) and some of them seem to have a small white head that can be scratched off. I never had such a LARGE cluster in the same place. In fact, I never had an acne problem before, I always had a clear skin...

I have used a 2% salicylic acid as a face wash each morning for a week, and the cluster is still there..
Its starting to bother me because its starting to be visible because the cluster seems so large, in fact even the 2 pimples left a mark after they were gone..

Hello,
The symptoms are suggestive of folliculitis skin. Keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove.Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics may be needed.Pls consult a dermatologist in that case.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Hello,

I have read about folliculitis.. and I have started trying to use a cream on the area. I started applying salicyclic acid on the area and then applying a generous amount of benzoyl peroxide for around 5 days. At first, it seemed to get better, but I was wrong, it got worse... I started to have a painful bump between my eyebrows and the acne seem to multiply a bit with a lot of visible white heads that could be easily scratched off.

I still haven't tried the mupirocin... but considering the no reaction after 5 days to the benzoyl peroxide, salicyclic acid and the antibacterial wash should I continue with the treatment and apply mupirocin/neomycin?

Also to add in, I noticed that when I press on the painful bump, it seems to make the whiteheads push out some white pus. As if it was a reservoir of white heads.

Thank you.
