cold sore or wart

by aworriedguy, Jul 20, 2007 12:00AM
hi doctor -

had a real quick question. had very close but fully clothed contact with a stripper last night. she rubbed her face against mine and kissed my neck and cheek. she also ran her hands through my hair.

i have never had a cold sore and know i am hsv negative for both types.

is there a possibility i could get a cold sore that way? (she didn't have any noticeable sores but i hear you can still get it when nothing is present). also, could i have gotten a wart or anything else from her hand?

thanks and apologize for a potentially dumb question.

I don't think you have anything to worry about.  It may be theoretically possible to contract herpes without there being a visible sore, but that would be true whether the other person is stripper or not, and the risk is too small to think about in any case.

Best.
