cold sore wont scab HELP PLEASE

A cold sore formed 2 weeks ago and the scab came off on the third day and it never scabbed up again. Its a pink discolored circle on my top lip now. Will my cold sore heal? And how long will it take? Can i kiss my boyfriend with it like this? If feels like nothing there ( no itching, tingle, or numbness).

Herpes sores appear as one or more blisters. The blisters break, leaving tender ulcers (sores) that may take two to four weeks to heal the first time they occur. You carry the virus even after the scab has fallen off. So it is advisable to avoid any kissing till complete healing occurs.
