cold sores in young baby dangerous?

cold sores in young baby dangerous?

My 5 year old grabbed my 6 week old baby's pacifier,  sucked it a few seconds, then shoved it in her mouth then shoved it in his mouth, before I could stop her. She (the 5 year old) gets an occasional cold sore and I think she is getting one now, I noticed the small red patch under her bottom lip that usually signals it.
I am very concerned she exposed the baby. I immediately wiped the baby's lips and mouth, rinsed out his mouth but am afraid he swalled secretions/saliva from her.  I can't find much information on this, just neonatal herpes infection from birth.

Does the baby have any protection from my antibodies? I am exclusively breastfeeding.

The chances of the baby's catching it this way are pretty slim.  It's possible but very hard to transmit herpes from items like towels--or pacifiers.  The baby should be fine.

Take care.
