constant itchy irritated eyes

Please help!!  I have had severe itchy irritated eyes for about 9 months now.  We did get a cat, but I've had one before. Also they itch everyday even when I'm not at home.  I used to get spring allergies when I lived in OK, but when I moved to Florida 5 yrs ago, I didn't have them anymore. When I did have them before, the most problem was with my eyes. I have taken every overthecounter med there is (just about) and soo many eye drops. Nothing seems to work. I know you may think its my cat, but if that was the case then medication would help. The bad thing is everything irritates my face also. I'm always scratching my face and eyes. I'm so tired of being itchy.  does anyone else suffer from this? and I also don't have medical insurance so I can't just run to the doctor......
