dark pigmentation patches

by Janad1, Jun 30, 2009 03:16PM
My boyfriend is 46 years old. (Caucasian)  Approximately, 3 years ago, virtually overnite, dark grayish patches large and small appeared on his lower body to include legs, lower back, buttocks and groin area.  He has never had a problem with his skin before.  These patches don't itch or bother him in any way other than they are ugly to look at.  And makes him very self concious.  They cover probably 70% of his lower body. The upper body is totaly free of them.  They almost look like dark bruises.  As I said they appeared overnight.  I was wondering if you have any idea what it might be caused from.
