demodex folliculitis

by molsy, Jul 26, 2009 06:50AM
My husband's skin biopsy revels this :

Clinical Diagnosis: Papillomatoses – Myxoedema

Conclusion: Skin with acanthosis, interface inflammation and evident intrafollicular collections of mite structures, consistent with Demodex folliculitis
- No evidence of malignancy is seen in the many levels examined

Is the above related to Hashimoto's diseases? His TSH, T3, T4 levels are in normal range. He takes thyroxin tablets 150mg everyday. what else should we do? The brown marks are increasing on his face esp. near mouth and nose. How to treat this?
