dimpled scar shortly after surgery

by rach46, Jul 21, 2009 10:07AM
Hi,

I had laproscopic surgery 2.5 weeks ago which used three little incisions on my stomach. It's the third time i have had the operation and one of my scars hasn't healed properly. After the stitches were removed the wound popped open and had to be closed with a steri strip for a further week. Now the scar is dimpled in. Sometimes it is fine but when I move, or sit down, it pulls right in, almost as if its attached to the muscle or something.

There was a lot of trauma to the area and only now the bruises are healing. There is a hard mass of scar tissue under the skin.

I am massaging bio oil in 2-3 times a day. Will this resolve on its own or do i need to see someone. Is it best to leave it and see or get it sorted asap?

Thanks
