My 10 year old daughter's cheek has developed an area that is white which is far different than the rest of the face. It has slowly grown in area over the last couple of years and it seems to fade out in the cooler months. At first, I thought it was dry skin, but moisturizers have had no effect. What am I dealing with here and how can I alleviate it? thank you

The most common condition affecting a child your daughter's age would be pityriasis alba. This is a mild skin inflammation which produces temporary discoloration of the cheeks. Cause unknown, treatment largely unnecessary. It is likely to even out over time. Next time she visits her pediatrician, ask for him or her to evaluate it.

hi i have skin discoloration on my chin and cheeks. these spots came from acne. are there any home remedies like vinegar on anything else that will fade these spots?
