dry flaky skin

For the past few weeks my husband and I noticed a dry, flaky, red skin on his penis. Burns during and after intercourse. CLears up after a week or so but comes back. No discharge or bumps. At first there was a very small cut, that seemed to make it worse on him and myself. He burned during and after intercourse as well. I burn after intercourse and during urination, as though its raw. I am 8 mos pregnant. Hes using an antifungus cream to see if it helps. I havent noticed any unusual discharge. So Im not sure what is goin on???
