dry patches on penis head and shaft

dry patches on penis head and shaft

about 2 months ago i noticed red spots on my penis after having unprotected sex with my girlfriend. symptomes did not match up with ant STD's and i had a similar problem to this about a year ago. the skin became kind of dry but not really itchy at all. it would visualy go away with showering but after dryed would still be there. the head of my penis after sex would have these little red sensitive spots on it asthough there was some sort of reaction with her. they would subside within a day or two but return with vigerous sexual contact.  i have not have had sex in 2 months and the red sensitive bumps on the head totaly went away. but the underlying dry skin still exists. my penis used to have a smooth shine to the bottom side and it now is dull and kind of chalky. i have tryed various antifungus creams meant for yeast infections and jock itch. which would help but after i stopped applying them it would come back and im not sure if this is cause it is a fungus or it was just soothing it like any other moisturizer. i also tryed hydrocortisone and even stronger perscription steroid cream i had laying around this just made the texture of my penis more unpleasent. i also tryed just leaving it alone but sure enough on one spot or another the dry skin spots would come back. i have not seen a doctor cause to be honest he would look at my penis and tell me that theres nothing wrong with it cause its so subtle that only i know its not how it used to be, pluss i dont want him to just write it off as eczima if its not! PLEASE give me some ideas.

Hello,
From the symptoms it sounds like eczema. Fungal infections can also present with such symptoms but the lesions are not dry till they are chronic in nature. What you can do is get a KOH examination of the skin scrapings to rule out any fungal infection. Allergy tests for eczema will also help. Treatment can then be planned.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
