About 5 months ago I believe I had jockJock itch itch. I treated it with jockJock itch itch cream and it took care of the itch. But now I have dry skin 24/7 around the base of the penisCancer - penis Curvature of the penis Penis care (uncircumcised) Penis pain and scrotum. Some days its very painfulPainful menstrual periods and others not so much. It usually more painfulPainful menstrual periods after a long day at work. versus a day off in which it barely has any irritation. I've traded in my briefs for boxers thinking maybe they were too tight. I do work indoorsIndoor/outdoor allergy relief and its sometimes dry. I use lotion and cream daily to help with the irritation but with little help. I have gained some weight in the past few months which has mainly affected my stomache and thighs. the dry skin is mainly on the base of th penis than the scrotum. The skin sometimes gets to the point were it cracks and bleeds. Any thoughts?
The scrotum is a very sensitive area of the body. Aside from dry skin, other differentials could be eczema or psoriasis. Eczema is an inflammation of the epidermis wherein there is dryness and recurring skin rashes. The rash presents with itching and dryness, blistering, or bleeding. Try to avoid scratching to prevent further harm. Also, avoid soap when you are washing the area. if it persists, have this evaluated further by your doctor for proper management.
