dry white spots on skin

My husband has been getting these dry white spots feels like goosebumbs but dry very dry it first began on the top of his left  shoulder and looks as if he has it in his right arm now. I dont know what it is I though it may be ringwarm but I am not sure,, it is very dry looking,, what can it be..

I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be pityriasis rosea. Pityriasis rosea is a common human skin disease which presents as numerous patches of pink or red oval rash. The rash may be accompanied by low-grade headache, fever, nausea and fatigue and sometimes by itching.

No treatment is usually required. In most patients, the condition lasts only a matter of weeks or months(upto six months)

If the rash persists then it will be best to get it evaluated from a dermatologist.Nummular dermatitis has to be ruled out then.
