i tried to used astringent a month ago and i was able to finish one small bottle. the very first time i use it i felt itchy and rashes appear suddenly. my friend told me to continue using it to finish the procedure but i cannot take it anymore.......... i don't know what to do or what to use.
Astringents tend to be drying. Some are formulated to be gentler by not using alcohol. Some people have skin that is more sensitive than others skin. Whether you need to continue it or not will have to be determined by you, using common
sense, unless you want to see a dermatologist to find out how to accomplish whatever it is you are trying to do. Witch hazel is an astringent that is very mild to my skin. It is not very expensive. It is usually near the bottles of rubbing alcohol.

with a mild cleanser with moisturizing properties like Cetaphil. Pat your face dry. Then apply a good hypoallergenic moisturizer over the area and see if this improves.
If the irritation persists then get it evaluated from a dermatologist.
