dsap treatments and recommendation

male 68.  Dermatology biopsy reveals legs and arms have DSAP. Cosmetically these are of no concern,,, they cause no discomfort,,, the dsap becomes subdued in the winter period. My dermatologist prescribed efudex treatment of entire legs but having studied reports on efudex  I am not sanguine about the use of this approach or encouraged by the results reported by others and have decided to delay treatment pending more input. Alternative treatment would be freezing of the larger P's. Is this a viable approach and are there other treatment regimens that might be considered and/or recommended?  Thank you

As far as I know, no treamtnet makes much difference to DSAP.  If cosmetic concerns are unimportant, I recommend you do nothing.
