eczema followed by white patches

my 20 month old abby girl had a very bad flairup of eczema , no scratching just her skin had this weird rash athat the doctor said it was eczema, it was all over her back and legs. the doctor prescribed cutivate creme for 15 days. than after thta he rash got better but with some left to treat so he said to use hydrocortison 1% adn in a wekk if new new spots arized to go back to cutivate but no longer than 7 days.
i did as i was told . and thank got the rash or eczema are gone.
now she is left with white spots, in every place she has an eczema patch she has a white spot. i went back to the doctor and he said they should go away with time. nothign big deal to worry about. it had been one month now and i see no improvment what so ever. i am every concerned that this might have been a reaction to the prolonged use of steroid creme. can this be the reason ?
any advise is appreciated.

Some amount of hypopigmentation is expected after an eczema.Your doctor rightly switched over to hydrocortisone,very mild.You need to just apply vaseline,the areas will get normal colour after a couple of months.
