erythema multeforme

by AUBRRAUEN, Jun 16, 2008 01:10AM
I keep having outbreaks of Erythema Multeforme and it seems as though so many things are causing the outbreaks. I have so many problems though and I feel like they are all related. I don't think my doctor knows what to think because I have so much going on. My family all suffer from auto immune disorders. My thought is that maybe all my problems are linked to an auto immune issue. I have Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrom (syndrome), endometriosis, Insulin resistance. I am obese, and it hurts. I am forgetful to the point where i dont remember telling my children they could do something 5 minutes after I told them.  I get migrains , the floaters and blinking lights all of the above. I have had so much blood work done and they said everything is normal. I feel like my body is fighting itself and I am losing. Could this be an autoimmune issue? I am desperate for answers. When I have the Erythema multeforme outbreaks I get a spot on my foot and on my hand and my lip splits into a yellow ulcer that never crusts over, and I get spots on my tongue. my chest feels tight and I itch...I am starting a reaction at the moment. I took some excedrin earlier and I drank alcohol last night so I am staying away from both until further notice. I just feel lost and alone. I feel like my doctor thinks I am a hypochondriac but I swear that all of this is happening, I have the sores to prove it.

Hi

I do understand that these conditions make you feel a little different and alone.  Just stay positive despite all these and keep the right attitude by reading more about your condition. Seek for communities such as this and join support groups that may give insights on your condition. I suggest that you also get a referral with  a clinical immunologist or a rheumatologist. Will this be feasible? Also, you have mentioned of erythema multiforme, was this diagnosis given by a doctor?
