eyelash growth problem

doctor please help me.recently my eyelashes are falling and there are patches on my eyelid.i have big eyes but due to falling of eyelashes my eyes look very bad.i have tried applying castor and olive oil but to no use.pls suggest some remedy.

The loss of eyelashes is completely normal and everybody loses them at some point in time and probably for very different reasons. The different causes can range from anything to constant eye rubbing to an eye infection.

Any type of allergies could cause your eyelashes to come out, especially if your eyes water due to allergies and you rub your eyes forcefully when wiping them. The good part of all of this is that the lashes will grow back.

There are several diseases which can cause your eyelashes to fall out and not grow back. A few of these diseases are Alopecia areata and hypothyroidism .

You could consult the doctor if this persists so that the exact cause can be found out in your case. The further management would depend upon the confirmed diagnosis.
