female, age 27, with new acne

I am a female, age 27. I have never had acne.  Just a stray pimple here and there as a teenager.

I was married at age 23 and have been on birth control for the past 4 years.  I went off birth control four months ago to begin attempts to get pregnant.  Very shortly thereafter I began to see significant acne breakouts that are consistant throughout the month - especially in the area of my forehead.

I don't want to jeopardize my ability to get pregnant.  Is there anything that can I can do?

Acne at 27, and beyond, is quite common, especially in women.  It can be treated, and eventually goes away.  There are good anti-acne medications that are safe to use even during pregnancy, clindamycin for example.  Ask your doctor.

Best.
