fungal infection i Think??

i have had a rash for about 2 months it first started being uncomfortable then got worse till it was burning an itching bad. i had unportective sex earlyier but the doctor said it wasnt a std he said a fungal infection he gave me cream used all of it and got way better but still there. please help its getting to be scary an a hassle. there are no bumps or disharge just a rash around testicals

Since it is a rash in the groins, it can be due to contact dermatitis, allergies , fungal infection or intertrigo. keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove.Avoid any kind of cosmetics.Topical zinc oxide cream like Sudocrem, Desitin are very helpful(apply with a paper towel and not directly with hands).Application of mild steroid cream like dermacort also helps. For the itching please take some over the counter antihistaminic like Benadryl or Claritin. In case the symptoms persist then antifungals may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case.
