fungus,herpes,athletes,jock itch in butt crack

about a week ago i developed an itch on top part of my butt crack, now it has turned into small itchy pimple like red bumps, still very itchy, one small patch of cluster of bumps, i dont know if its due to me itching alot, or if its a fungus. it has spread in last few days down inner thigh basically travel downwards, thus far i have put hydrocortizone cream, lotramin, and randomly put acne treatment on it all of which subside the itching and the lotrimin has made rednees go down i have not been consistent with the lotramin but plan to know any suggestions could it be herpes and if so how could i have got it. any help or suggestionns welcomed

Hello,
This can be due to fungal infection, friction rub of the skin with the clothing while sitting or due to moisture and abrasions by clothes. Use some topical antimicrobials like Lotrimin. Also wear cotton clothes and change it twice to avoid any increased sweating.

If the symptoms are severe then please get an evaluation done from a dermatologist.
