getting rid of redness

by Eric, Feb 22, 2000 12:00AM
Hi, I posted a question a couple weeks ago about getting rid of redness left over after acne.  My question now is what is the effectiveness of say an aloe lotion or a vitamin E oil. Right now I have both but I wanted to know, if I use them could they clog my pores and actually create some pimples to come back?
Also, if you say no to my previous question and I use these lotions with no effect what are the probabilities that this could maybe be related to something else such as allergies or something going on internally?

Eric:

I am honestly not sure whether either aloe or vitamin E help redness go away faster, but I am sure that neither is likely to cause pore clogging or other problems.

Redness after acne or other skin inflammation is variable but normal and is not related to allergy or internal problems.\

Best.

I've used skin discoloration fade creams like Esoterica to help lighten skin redness left from blemishes.  Maybe test it on a small area first.
