Hi

This may be case of spraining or overstretching your muscles. Are you still able to move your legs, thighs and hips without pain? Is the range of motion of your extremities affected?

Pain relievers and applying a warm compress over the area may help. You may apply some menthol or camphor to soothe the area. I do suggest that you discuss this first with your physician. A referral to a rehabilitation medicine specialist or a sports medicine specialist may be able to help you. A complete physical examination including tests for range of motion should be able to identify which muscles are likely involved.

Hi

What specific movement or activity triggers the pain in the area?

Where is the pain located?

I suggest you have this assessed by your primary physician. This may not be something urgent as in the case of a muscle spasm. However, other conditions have to be ruled out like a hernia or appendicitis for instance. These are just differentials and I do not want to cause further worries but these conditions need to be ruled out first.

Are there any palpable lumps in the area?
