thank you for your help this is what the doctors diagnosed but it didnt respond to treatment in fact it made it worse i saw a skin specialist who feels its not a regular fungus but psorosis which they still insist it is .One cream bought it up in big red blotches  i am now on trimovate from glaxo which counteracted the reaction to the creams so im now back to red soreness in the grion with pain inside the groin just like a hernia ,which i had 15 years ago, but now every time i sit the rash flares up again with extreme soreness and the doctor will only give me trimovate for 1 more week as its steroid based and thins the skin i am at a loss what is next because as soon as i dont use the trimovate for a few hours off it goes again thank you again doctor for your advisev which i will try

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,

It can be due to intertrigo. It is an inflammation (rash) of the body folds. It most commonly occurs due to bacterial, viral or fungal infection. An intertrigo usually appears red and raw-looking, and may also itch, ooze, and be sore.

Please keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Topical zinc oxide cream like Sudocrem, Desitin are very helpful(apply with a paper towel and not directly with hands).Application of mild steroid cream like dermacort also helps. For the itching please take some over the counter antihistaminic like Benadryl or Claritin. In case the symptoms persist then antifungals may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
