Although frequently itchy, it may cause no symptoms. The spots may be blistered, crusted or eroded and may slightly bleed. Most cases of Grover's disease last six to twelve months and there is no curative treatment for this condition. It is best to see your dermatologists for clinical assessment and discuss if skin biopsy is warranted. Take care and keep us posted.
Hi, I was recently diagnosed with grover's. I did not have any sores on my face but my face as well as my entire body is extremely itchy - even in places where there were no sores. A thirty day course of prednizone made most of the sores go away and the itch pretty much disappeared. The itch has gradually returned. My eyes are extremely dry and itchy. I hope my symptoms help you with understanding yours. I would be interested in what types of symptoms you, as well as others, experience.
I was diagnosed a year ago with Grover's and I am itchy all over, face, too but no bumps on the face, thank goodness. My question is this, I've been lathering up with moisturizer after my shower at night and this seems to make me itch MORE. Does anyone else notice that? By the way, I am 52 years old and female.
I have just been diagnosed with Grovers and had a shot of kenalog and three weeks row of predisone. The itchy and spot on my back and chest disappeared. The a week later started all over again. I had spots around my breasts that never did go away and became very sore and infected because of skin toouching skin and trying to wear a bra. Even tho I tried to wear a very light cotton one. Now went back to dermotoglist and now he is not sure it is grovers . Even tho I had a biopsy done and lab said Grovers. Had another shot of kenalog and have red itchy spots all over my back chest breast area. Also some big red raised one on my upper chest. I am a 62 year old female. Not sure were to go from here.
