growth by anus

by geny, Sep 17, 2003 12:00AM
I noticed like two years ago that I had what appeared to be a mole right next to my anus. I thought nothing of it.
However, I noticed today that what I thought was a  mole has grown significantly. It hasn't grown in width. Its more like it grew out, like a little tail (its roughly about a 1/3 of an inch long). It feels like cartilage, its color it the same as my skin except that it has a black tip.
Should I be freaked out? Is this common?

No it isn't common, though that doesn't mean you should be freaked out.  It may be a wart or skin tag or hemorrhoid.  Not sure.  You need to see a doctor.  It might be easy to remove if it bothers you.

Best.
