hair loss

i have been suffering from hairloss for 5 years the center of my scalp has been itching and hurtingi have suffered mild breakage and now it just wont grow past one inch. it itches and hurts. i went to the dermatologist when the hair loss first started and she gave me some antifungal cream and spray.it didnt work and my hair continues to fall out. I was on antibiotic therapy for something else and the itching subsided.well i am still losing my hair. what can i do ? i jst recently had some labwork done to see if i am having some hormone issues.
