hair loss

My hair used to be heavy and strong , then I had 6 surgeries with general anaesthesia , after each surgery I lost hair , the dermatologist said the hair follicles were affected by anaesthesia , now my hair is very light ( few ) specially in the front and sides of the head , please lead me to how can I grow my hair again . I tried hair back lotion but no way .

At this point, it is first important to ascertain what could have caused the hair loss. This seems to be related to the surgery. However,other causes should also be considered. Differentials will be alopecia areata which has a genetic cause and the hair loss is well demarcated with sharply localized patches. Other differentials will be telogen effluvium wherein tufts of hair may readily fall out. Hypothyroidism may also present with hair loss.
These conditions have to be considered and ruled out. At this point, most cases of hair loss do not have any known effective medical treatment. For some ,steroids may be able to help. For some cases, hair transplant may be done. You may want to ask your dermatologist about this.
