healed over ingrown hair

healed over ingrown hair

ive had an ingrown hair on my pubic area for a few days now, and today i popped it and pus and a clear liquid came out. i had tried a 2 days ago but it didnt work and it had healed over partially where i had broken the skin. i think it healed over a second different hair follicle because it doesnt seem completely popped and i can stil feel a bump under the skin. i dont know how to get this second hair out since the skin has healed over completely and it is covering the hair. how can i get rid of this?

i feel like its just going to develop pus again but this time it has no pore to come out from.

Hello,
What you seem to be having is boil or furuncle. Boils are caused by infection of the hair follicle by staph aureus. Bacterial skin infections can be spread by shared cosmetics or washcloths, close human contact, or by contact with pus from a boil or carbuncle.

Apply warm compresses on the bumps and keep the area clean. Drainage of the bump is done only when it becomes soft and forms a head. Take some over the counter pain reliever and consult a doctor for examination and antibiotics prescription. If there are recurrent boils, then please get your blood sugar levels estimated.

I hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted in case you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.
