Im not really sure whats going on.But I had unpretected sex with my girlfriend a few times. The first few times it seemed like her vagina was to tight for my penis but it was almost like a rash or a type of floor burn showing up on my penis. I went to the hospital and they tested me for herpes and it wasn't herpes. I don't know what to do but it when a way.  About five months later it returned the only thing i put on it might be vasiline because the area seems real dry . It almost feels like when we have sex the skin is pealing back and its not like we don't use a lubricant. And her vagina is wet.what should I do?

This discussion is related to Red Shiney Scaley skin on penis, somewhat painful.

Hi,

Penile rash may have several differentials. This includes a fungal infection, dermatitis and bacterial infection. With a significant sexual history, it is best to have this evaluated. A urinalysis and urine culture may help rule out an underlying UTI. Scrapings of the affected skin for microscopic evaluation may also help determine if a fungal infection is present. A fungal infection may present with white patches of itchy skin that may peel off. A reddish and weeping rash may be present in the case of a dermatitis. Bacterial infections may be associated with pain, redness and lesions that contain pus.

I suggest that you have your skin condition assessed by your physician. Washing the area with a mild and bland soap and keeping the area clean and dry always is important. Avoid any sexual contact for the moment until the rash has been thoroughly evaluated and appropriate medications are prescribed based on the diagnosis.
