I was in a car accident 7 months ago and had a hematoma the size of an ostrich egg on my shin right below the knee. The swelling is gone but it is still bruised and I get an "aching" or burning sensation there when I do a lot of walking. Also that foot goes numb when I sit sometimes. Doctor last week said this is "as good as its going to get".
Is it really going to stay discolored? Its a dark gray color.
Originally doc said it should go away in under 3 months.
I have not settled with at fault driver's insurance company and need to know if this is permanent and what could stem from it in the future. Thanks!
